Chapter 1 - Snowed in at the Studios

It was Christmas Eve, and many, many friends were gathered at the LionKingheart Fantasy films studios ballroom.  The G. E. Predators were performing a holiday rock concert.  Palladon the Panther and Armagator the Alligator were on electric guitar.  Tye the Tiger was on drums.  Prowl the Lynx was on Saxaphone and Arostarr was on electric keyboard.  Casey the Lion and Cassie the Lioness sang the lead while Blaze the Cheetah, Jag the Jaguar and Kyyaa Broderick sang back up.
In the audience were the adventure teams.  Pooh's Adventure team and Ash's Adventure team were at the front left side of the ballroom.  Yogi Bear's team and Danny's Adventure team were at the front right side, and to the center were the Jungle Crew, the Madagascar Crew and the Fantasy Crew.  The GEP finished their last song of the evening, an 80's style version of "Walking in a Winter Wonderland," then everyone applauded.
"Thank you everyone," said Palladon.  "That's our show for tonight.  We like to wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, and a safe trip home."
The audience applauded the GEP once again as they got up and left just as the Fantasy Team came up to them on stage.
      "Roarin' performance guys," said Leo.
"Thank you, Leo," said Kyyaa.  "Now it's off to the DEN to celebrate Christmas."
"I can't wait to finally see it," said Rae.
"Yeah, and spending Christmas is Florida will be a nice change for us," said Kairel.
"You said it, Kairel," said Panthy.  "We'll have a warm, sunny holiday instead of cold, snowy one."
"Do they have Christmas trees in Florida?" Xiro asked.
"Of course they do," said Prowl.  "Wait till you see the size of our tree."
"Uh, guys!" said Melman, who came up to the Fantasy Team, "We got a big problem."
"How big is it, Melman?" said Benny.
      "We're snowed in!"
"How bad is it?" asked Leo.
      "See for yourself," said Alex.
Everyone looked outside and saw that a blizzard was pelting the entire studio.  A wall of snow had built up and was blocking the doorway out of the studio.
      "Oh d-d-d-dear!" screamed Piglet.
"This is bad," cried Rabbit.  "This is very bad!"
"How do we get out of here?" asked Misty, who was calmly holding her Togepi in her arms.
"We'll have to wait until that blizzard stops and the snow melts," Brock replied.
"That could take a long time," said Huckleberry Hound.
"Days, weeks, months, even," cried Snagglepuss.  "It'll be next Christmas by the time we get out of here."
"This is a fine predicament," Vitaly grumbled with his arms crossed.
"Let's all stay calm" said Marty.  "The important thing is we're safe in here.  Let's not freak out."
"Marty's right," said Danny the Cat.  "We can have a Christmas party while we wait for the storm to stop."
"Once it does, Ash and I can use our Charizards to melt the snow," said Benny.
"Yeah!" said Ash, "Great idea, Benny!"
"Right," said Leo.  "For now, let's do what we can to keep everyone's spirits raised."
"Let's break out instruments back out and play some holiday jams," said Arostarr.
"We can join in the music too," said Sawyer.
"If that's okay with all of you, of course" said Wolly.
"The more, the merrier," said Tye.
"We're gonna need lots and lots of food too," said Yogi.
"I'll whip up something in the kitchen," said Johnny.  "Genie, you and the droids give me a hand."
"You got it, Johnny boy," said Genie.
As everyone headed back to the ballroom, Gia and Tig noticed Vitaly still looking outside with a grumpy glare and his arms folded across his chest.
      "Daddy?" Tig asked.
      "You okay, Vitaly?" Gia asked.
"It's Christmas Eve, and we should be at home," Vitaly answered," not stuck here at studio where we work."
"Leo and the others are doing everything they can.  We just need to have faith."
      "Humbug!"
      "What's that mean?" asked Tig.
"Oh my," said Gia as she looked at her son.  "It's something that some one says when he doesn't have the Christmas spirit."
"Maybe the party will help him find it, mom."
"I hope so, Tig.  I hope so."
In practically no time, everyone was filling up the place with holiday cheer.  Pooh's team was helping Yogi's team set up tables while Johnny, Genie, R2-D2 and C-3PO placed a buffet of cookies, brownies, cakes, pies, pudding, ice cream and hot cocoa.  Simba's team, Alex's team and Ash's team were decorating the place with garlands, ribbons, wreaths and lights.  Danny's team sang along to the melodies that the GEP played, and the Fantasy Team brought in a 10 foot tall Christmas tree.  It was fully decorated, except for a star on top.
"How come there's no presents under the tree?" asked Pudge the Penguin.
"It's because Santa hasn't come yet." Bruma replied.
"That's right, little buddy," said Tigger.  "Santi's gonna slide down the chimney and leave presents for everyone under this tree."
"You really think Santa will come here?" asked L.S.
"You bet, son," Xiro replied.  "Santa knows all and sees all."
"He knows who's been good and who's been naughty," Dagnino added.
      "What's Santa like?" asked Tig.
"That's right, you haven't met him yet," said Mackenzie.  "He wears a big red suit with matching hat, and he laughs like this: ho, ho, ho!"
"And if you've been good, he'll give you anything you want for Christmas," added Lighting."
"But you've been bad," said Ruby, "he just gives you a lump of coal."
Benny over heard the cubs talking about Santa and smiled as he knelt down.  "True, but you've all been good as gold all year long.  I know Santa will happy to come by and see you all."
"Really?  I'd sure like to meet him," said Tig.
"But don't we have to be asleep for him to come, Uncle Benny," asked Danny.
"Oh, I think he can make an exception in this case," Benny smiled.  He then held out a tray of cookies freshly baked from the oven.  "Cookies anyone?"
"Yeah!" the cubs said as they reached out and each one took a cookie.
In a dark corner of the room, Vitaly sat alone.  Gia came up to him with two cups of cocoa in her paws.
"Darling, I wish you'd join in the fun," she said as she handed one of the cups to him.  Vitaly just took the cup in his massive paw and sipped cocoa slowly.  "Everyone else is in the Christmas spirit."
"Christmas…bah!" Vitaly replied.  "Never worked out for me.  Never will."
"But you have so much to be thankful for.  At least we're here with our family and our friends."
"I'd rather we be in OUR home, around OUR tree and sitting near OUR fire place."
Vitaly took another sip of cocoa.  As he pulled the cup down, a chocolate mustache had formed over the upper part of his lips.  Gia giggled as Vitaly wiped his face.
"At least try to have the Christmas spirit for our son.  It's his very first Christmas ever."
The tiger sighed.  "Oh, alright.  For Tig, I will try to be happy on holidays."
Vitaly stood up as Gia escorted him to the center of the ballroom where everyone was gathering.
Meanwhile, Leo and Rae had brought in a large box filled with old videos and DVDs.
"Check it out, everyone." said Leo, "It's a box of our old Christmas stories."
"Oh yes,' said Winnie the Pooh as he reached in a pulled out a tape that said Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too.  "I remember this story.  This was when Piglet and I pretended to be Santa and gave presents to all of our friends."
"Yes, and all because we though we had lost Christopher Robin's letter to Santa," said Eeyore in a gloomy, yet intentionally cheerful manner.
"And here's the one where the cubs and I went out to get a Christmas tree," said Papa Bear as he held up a video cassette.
"And even though we couldn't find one to take home," said Brother Bear.
"We made some new forest friends," added Sister Bear.
"That's right, and they decorated our tree home," said Mama Bear.
"Hey, I remember this one," said Misty, who pulled out a DVD labeled Holiday Hi-Jnyx.  "This was back in Kanto when Ash, Brock and I went with a Jnyx to return Santa's missing boot."
"And we ended up stopping Team Rocket from kidnapping Santa and stealing all of the toys in the factory," added Brock.
"Hey, Hey, Hey!' said Yogi as he pulled out a video labeled Yogi's First Christmas.  "Here's a video about me and the gang get together to celebrate Christmas as Jellystone Lodge."
"And we even helped Snively and Herman learn the true meaning of Christmas," added Augie Doggie.
"That's my boy who said that," said Doggie Daddy.
When a blizzard traps the adventure teams in LKHFF studios, everyone throws a party to wait out the storm.
