A break from the story back at LKHFF studios, a crack of thunder was heard from outside.  Leo and the children looked outside the windows to see rain fall.
“Wow!  It’s really coming down out there,” said Leo.  “Kids?”  He looked around the room and say the kids huddled together on the sofa.  “Kids, what’s wrong?”
“Grandpa, what if a flood comes while the storm is going on outside?” asked Chang, Leo’s Pandarian grandson.
“Not to worry, Chang.  God won’t allow it.”
“But dad, people are still doing bad things in this day and age,” said Danny.  “How can we be sure?”
“Yeah!?!” the other cubs added in unison.
“Well, let’s continue the story and you’ll see,” Leo replied.  He sat down on the couch with the children gathered around and opened the book again to continue the story.
For forty days and forty nights, the rain continued to fall non-stop as the floodwater that now covered the entire earth carried the Ark on its surface with Lyon, his family and the many, many animals on board.  After the forty days had passed, the rain finally stopped and the Ark steadied over still waters high above the tallest mountains.
With the storm gone and the floodwater calm, Joey and Terra took the opportunity to fish for more food for the animals.  Using fishing rods made from large sticks, thin rope and bended nails for hooks, the brother/sister duo managed to reel in enough fish to feed their family and the carnivores on the Ark for days.  Meanwhile, Elna, Stefano and Ling took advantage of the returning sunlight to harvest more vegetables for the herbivores.
Over the course of the next hundred days, Lyon would send out a raven or a dove to look for any sign that the water was drying up.  All the while, Tavin would fly up high above the ark via his wings in search for land.  He would feel a wind over the Earth, which was a sign that the water was receding at a slow and steady paste.  Regardless, the birds could find no place to perch, and the young archfiend could not see any sight of land in any direction.  Thus, they would retreat back to the ark.
“Tavin, have you seen anything out there?” asked Elna.
“Same as always, mother,” Tavin replied, “nothing but ocean.”
“It’s alright, my son,” said Lyon, placing his paw on Tavin’s shoulder.
“Oh, this is-a hopeless!” Stefano cried.
“When will this flood end?” asked Ling.  “Our food supply cannot last or much longer.”
“My children do not despair,” Lyon replied calmly.  “Surely, the lord would not have us build this ark to survive the storm only to have us perish in the calm.”
“Father is right,” said Joey with confidence.  “Even if Shao-Hao has been silent, he will give us a sign to let us know that there will be land.”
“That’s right!” Rae agreed. “We just have to keep our faith.”
“And I will keep flying out each day to look until I find at least the smallest island,” added Tavin.
      “Magnifico!” Stefano exclaimed.
Lyon waited seven more days before he sent out the dove again with Tavin flying out above the ark to scout for land once again.  When Tavin saw the dove return that evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf!  Tavin brought the dove back with him inside the Ark and showed the olive leaf to Lyon.  Knowing that the water was receding further from the earth, he waited seven more days and sent out the dove again.  This time, the dove did not return to the ark.
Then after a total of 150 days since the storm began, the floodwater was going down as the Ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.  The waters continued to recede, and on the first day of the tenth month the mountains became visible.  After another two months and twenty-seven days, Shao-Hao finally told Lyon to come out of the ark with his family and every other living creature that is with him.  Lyon emerged from the ark, together with his wife, his sons and his son’s wives.  All of the animals that move along the ground and all the birds came out of the ark, one kind after another.
Upon their new home on the new land, Lyon built an Alter to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, sacrificed burnt offerings of it.  Shao-Hao smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood.  And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.  As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”
The very first LKHFF Thanksgiving-themed fan-fiction story featuring the cast of Primal Warrior re-enacting one of the most famous stories from the bible.
