WARNING : Five Nights at Freddy's 4 has recently been released today, If you have not seen or played the full game and wait to avoid spoilers, please do not read this journal.

SPOILERS ALERT!!! (You have been warned)

In the very last cut scene of FNaF 4, we see four older kids in character masks shove the main character, a small boy, into the mouth of Fred Bear. At first, we're all thinking, "I just witnessed the Bite of 87," BUT....

....Let's go back to FNaF1. On the very first phone call, the Phone Guy mentions the Bite of 87 and says, "It's amazing how a person can survive without the frontal lobe." Keyword there is "Survive." In the cut scene from FNaF 4, we see the small boy die. His entire head is crushed in Fredbear's mouth. This contradicts what we were told about the Bite of 87.

Now you maybe thinking, "Maybe Phone Guy lied to us," but considering how many other statements we've taken from him involving FNaF lore, it's not 100% sure knowing when and if hes lying.   Now lets look at FNaF2.  Jeremy Fitzgerald is welcomed to his "new summer job," and his paychecks are dated for November 12 and 13 of 1987.  This support the older theory that Jeremy was true the bite victim.

On an added note, since we were told the bite victim survived, the victim had to have been an adult. A child's skull is still too soft and fragile to withstand the bite from an animatronic and survived, and the child in FNaF had his entire skull crushed. Very rarely would any child be able to live through that.

Going back again to 5NaF2, the first death mini game shows the child who became the puppet was murdered by the purple man outside of Freddy's restaurant. In FNaF4, the child is believed to become the puppet because he cries all the time, but then we see his death INSIDE the restaurant. Also, he wasn't killed by one man, but by four other boys older than him. One of whom was his old older brother, who has been torturing the boy by jumping out at him while wearing a Foxy mask.

So what is my conclusion of this theory? What we witnessed was not the Bite of 87, but rather the even that may have lead to Fredbear's Diner closing down.

As an added theory, the small boy and his brother may be the children of the purple man, and the death of his youngest may have triggered him to become a psychopath.

Hmm... I thought that the bite of '87 was done by the animatronics with their "Free Roaming Program" . Here, it was literally an act done by bullies, who purposely shoved a kid into the Golden Freddy, hardly the pizzeria's fault other than lacking supervision...

That and i came across hints that the 4th game takes place in '83... and by the title, "The bite of 87" it might be implied that bites were kinda of a thing there....
